It is almost like they don't try hard enough to make these things believable. I would have added color, logo's or some kind of java script to make it look more exciting. I guess we can't expect much from criminals that are probably sitting in rundown hut somewhere in the African countryside.
Scams Squared to Death
A listing of email scams.
Welcome
Email scams are as old as the internet. Within this blog you will see several that have been sent to one person. All links have been rendered useless. Each email is posted here in their entirety as I have received them, with only a few changes to protect you the viewer.
Each posting has been edited into this blog with Microsoft One Note.
Please, do not contact any of the authors of these emails. Do so At Your Own Risk!
Subject line is NOT the body.
I may have to make these types of letters their own topic. I seem to have more than I thought. In Misc label for now. There seems to be more and more of these. It seems like a simple thing to NOT mistake the subject line for the body. Perhaps they were working with some sort of software that would churn out different emails and didn't check them before sending. At any rate, this is very obvious a scam letter. They tried to use the FBI again.
Pa! Where's Hoss at?
A phony loan deal. Don't we all wish a bank would give us an interest rate like this. I wasn't sure what to classify this, so for now it is Misc. If I find more like this I may make a bank label for them.
Mrs. Warren. Are you trying to seduce me?
Again, the United Nations would not bother with this sort of thing. And, of course, the email address is yahoo. Okay.
Last Will I AM?
Though I have not posted many of these sob stories, I have received a number of them. I didn't realize how many emails I had been sent over the years until I began this blog. It may take me some time to get through all. They try to appeal to your goodness and god fearing beliefs. They didn't know who they were messing with here.
